OpenAI launches ChatGPT Spaces and workplace tools

OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Spaces, Slack and Teams integration, and other work tools at Dev Day, saying they would help teams organise files, meetings and shared content.

Engadget

OpenAI announced ChatGPT Spaces at its Dev Day event as a workspace for group projects and individual AI helpers. It said people would be able to use it with colleagues, ChatGPT and Dots, while keeping uploaded and generated files together.

The company said Spaces would be available to Pro, Business and Enterprise customers. It said the first release would be on the desktop app and the web, with mobile support to follow.

OpenAI also said a meeting plugin would record calls, create notes and summaries with action items, and then remove the captured audio. It said the plugin would first arrive on the ChatGPT desktop app for macOS for Pro and Business users, with Enterprise access later.

The company said ChatGPT would also be available in Slack and Microsoft Teams for Business and Enterprise plans. Users would be able to mention it in channels, direct messages and threads, and it could connect to tools linked to those services if permitted by users or administrators.

OpenAI also announced Pages, which would let users build text, charts, images and visualisations for colleagues to review. It said collaborative slides and shareable profiles were also on the way, and that the slides could be exported to PowerPoint and Google Slides.
