Anthropic said it had launched Claude Frontier Academy with a $100 million commitment and a target of training 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers by the end of 2027. It said the first cohorts were already under way.
The company said the first intake included engineers from Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley and Novo Nordisk. It said the programme was aimed at hands-on software engineers with strong fundamentals and experience using large language models.
Anthropic said the first programme, the Frontier Deployed Engineer Residency, started with several days in person with its engineers and licensed instructors. Participants then moved on to a 12-week residency in which they led a Claude use case at their own organisation.
It said participants first completed a graded practical exercise and later another assessment. Those who passed received the Claude Resident Engineer badge and then, after the residency, the Claude Frontier Deployed Engineer badge.
Anthropic also said the academy built on the Claude Partner Network, which it said had reached 46,000 firms, more than 175,000 certifications and nearly 4,000 completions of Basecamp.
