Anthropic said it was putting $100 million into the Claude Frontier Academy and aiming to train 10,000 engineers by the end of 2027. The effort began with a 12-week Frontier Deployed Engineer Residency for people at solution providers and customer organisations.
The company said the residency was the first programme in the academy. It said participants already included engineers from Accenture, Bain & Co., Capgemini, Deloitte, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Morgan Stanley and Novo Nordisk.
Shambhavi, Anthropic’s head of go-to-market strategy and operations for partnerships, said the company wanted to build a larger pool of deployed engineers at customers and partners. Anthropic said the programme was in early access and that its cohorts were in San Francisco, New York and London.
Ram Ramalingam, who leads software and platform engineering at Accenture, said in a statement that the residency matched Anthropic’s definition of the role. He said the programme would deepen engineers’ Claude expertise and help deliver value for clients.
Anthropic also said its ecosystem had passed 175,000 Claude certifications across 46,000 companies. It said about 4,000 people had completed Basecamp, and that its Claude Academy online platform had attracted about 8 million visitors since launch.
