Arena said it closed a $200 million Series B at a $3.1 billion valuation. It said the figure was higher than the $1.7 billion valuation it reported in January 2026, and that it had passed $100 million in annualised revenue.
The company said Lightspeed Venture Partners and Khosla Ventures co-led the round. It said Salesforce Ventures, 01 Advisors, Dell Technologies Capital and Endeavor Catalyst also took part, alongside existing investors including a16z, Felicis, AMP PBC, QuantumLight and The House Fund.
Alongside the financing, Arena announced an Alignment Index. It said the index was meant to measure how AI systems can diverge from human values in real-world settings.
Arena said the index began with three signals: unauthorised action, false attribution and deceptive completion. It said those signals were based on definitions used in system cards from OpenAI and Anthropic.
The company said it was releasing the methodology and initial results for more than 20 frontier models. It said the index would be expanded over time in step with its existing capability leaderboards.
